Figure 1: Fiacail Phádraig

1370s:
The Fiacail Phádraig or shrine of St Patrick’s tooth. The fourteenth-century figure of St Patrick is located directly below the crucified Christ, reflecting the importance of the figure on the shrine. He is accompanied by other Irish saints, including St Benen, St Brigit (now missing), St Columcille and St Brendan.
